Multiple Teams · Fall 2020 Virtual Season Online Registration

The high school interscholastic athletics virtual program is available to all students at the high school level – no cuts. The high school virtual athletic season consists of a minimum of three student-athlete and coach engagement sessions per week (corollary sports will meet two times per week), over the course of five weeks. The fall virtual season is scheduled to occur between September 14 – October 16, 2020.  Registration will close after Wednesday September 9.  Anyone wishing to register after 9/9 should first email the coach to make sure they are still accepting student athletes for the Fall Virtual Season.

We plan on offering the following sports during the fall virtual season: Varsity & JV Cheerleading; Boys & Girls Cross Country; Varsity & JV Field Hockey; Varsity & JV Football; Golf; Corollary Team Handball; Varsity & JV Boys Soccer; Varsity & JV Girls Soccer; Varsity & JV Girls Volleyball.  This represents all of the traditional fall sports except for Poms which will be offered during the winter virtual season.

All students participating in the fall virtual season, as part of the MCPS interscholastic athletics program, must have their parent/guardian complete the online registration process. Registration is done electronically through the Clarksburg Athletics Registration form, which is also posted on the school’s website. Students and parents/guardians who have difficulty with registration should contact Athletic Director Ed Dalton at Edward_R_Dalton@mcpsmd.org

Students must have a valid physical on file with the school.  Given the unprecedented circumstances, for students who are unable to secure an updated physical, MCPS will extend the expiration date of an existing physical by one calendar year.  To the extent a student does not have a physical on file with the school, the student will need to obtain one.  Due to the strenuous nature of selected activities, each student is encouraged to consult their physician concerning fitness to participate in the program.  During any live engagement, parents/guardians and students must ensure that surroundings are free of obstacles and that an appropriate plan is in place on how to access help in the event of an emergency. Here is a link the official SR-8 Physical Form.

We are excited to provide your student with the greatest education-based virtual athletics season during such unprecedented times. We Can, We Will, WE RAISE!
